ReplyDeleteWe're up and going now. Thank you to all the Worldcast Staff and Friends who help make this possible. We're blessed!
ReplyDeleteI've been attending these teaching live at our local Foursquare Church in Yakima, WA. Harold has done a great job and the crowd of people attending are hungry and engaged in his teaching. I pray as we begin this arm of our ministry, you'll be blessed as well.
We love you.
Linda Eberle
I have to say I am very greatful to be part of this study! You put God into a truer aspect then many I have heard before. Thank you for bringing it out into the world!
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about this weeks teachings. It's horrid to think that there are people who really feel themselves to be wicked by nature (after all God created us in His image right?!) And as Kris Vallotton put it "Every time we demean ourselves we are talking badly about the artist (God) and the model (Jesus). The truth is that the beauty of creation actually gives glory to the Creator." So the whole concept of uniting ourselves with the act of "sin" (as in creating the false reality that we are entirely created "in" sin or "out of" sin) would be literally us partnering with the enemy. When in actuallity we are called to partner with the holy spirit to develop and grow into the image that our Creator has for us.
ReplyDeleteA funny thing I heard over one of the Bethel Podcasts was that sometimes when we aren't keeping God the Father as our focus, or maybe we're not hearing the Holy Spirit too well, we have a tendency focus on our blemishes when theres an all out spiritual war going on. How true is that?! I got the funniest mental picture of a muscle-bound warrior armed to the hilt and glorious in its entirety. But it was immobilized at the discovery of a blemish on its arm and completely oblivious to the raging war around him. Like they said at Bethel, there are seasons for interspection and there are seasons for spritual warfare...How are we going to know which one we're in if we're not focusing on God and moving when and how He moves? I have faith in Him, that He will guide us.
When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, THEY were offended at their nakedness, not God. He was offended at their doubt in His commandment thus, their doubt in His love for them. That is what I belive sin to be. I really believe that there is nothing on this earth that offends God as much as not knowing and accepting His love for us. His Agape love for us. It's only in that Agape love that Truth is known. Thus, full faith in Him.
And WE ARE CREATED IN HIS IMAGE! How beautiful we are! There is nothing more exciting then the prospect of getting to know every aspect of God's personality which He has uniquely embedded in everyone of us!
Hey Harold, awesome job as usual. I have struggled over the last several years believing that I, along with other humans, were so terribly bad when 1) I was created in God's image and that hasn't ever changed, 2) Psalms says that man was crowned with glory and honor, & 3) I am told not to think more highly of myself than I ought to think -- which, to me, means I should have a decent opinion of myself.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to these studies and having my thinking stretched. Love you, bro!
Hello Everyone, I just can't get over how cool it is to have a study online. I feel like I'm right in the room listening. Thanks so much for doing this!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! One entire book in less than two hours from the first week, and now church history in less than one hour. It puts things in line. A time line. :-) I'm looking forward to future lessons!
ReplyDeleteHello from McCall Idaho,
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting up the webcast. The one thing that I see in bible studies today that concerns me is they are done with less than a hundred years of context. Events are placed along side of how it would play out in todays world.
Once you place the study in the context of history and culture, they become so much richer and yield more understanding.
Hurrah! Glory to God...
Thanks Harold! I'm always captivated by your insightful and life-changing teachings. My wife Mary and I watched together and she took three pages of notes. We receive the blessing you prayed over us. Keep charging hard as we advance the kingdom...Jim
ReplyDeleteThank you for your empowering words.
ReplyDeleteGreat Study: I too struggled with not being "good" until i received the revelation that I'm not good, i'm holy. Hopefully this doesn't offend anyone. This was a revelation that became real to me. None of our works make us good. And only "faith" please the God. I am drawing closer and closer to God the Father who i didn't think loved me. I knew Jesus loved me, but i didn't think the Father did. I now know that He does love me and it's real and He's not to blame for all the worlds woes. He gets blamed for everything. He's personable, He's awesome, He has needs, after all, we're created in His image and we have needs. The need to be loved unconditionally.....well the Father has that need also, to be loved not for His blessings but for who He is. An awesome loving God.
ReplyDeleteAnd i have learned that God has "Free Will" also and He can do whatever He wants and He does, but only with love as His motive which is great for us.
Blessings on everyone here.
Love the peacocks!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I understand how to work a blog -- it seems all the comments are going under the Welcome section. I can't find the section for the later studies.
And these are amazing studies!
I was just reading people's comments here and thinking about us being 'good.' We tend to base our understanding of being 'good' on behaviour.
ReplyDeleteBut God's Word tells us that after He made each facet of Creation He stepped back, admired His handiwork and said "It is good!" When He got to the 6th day and had finished making Man and Woman He then stepped back and said "it is VERY good!"
David said "I am fearfully and wonderfully made!! Your works are wonderful. I know that full well!" He was talking there about himself. We should do the same. We should look at ourselves and know that God said "it is very good" about us and accept that we are indeed a wonderful work of God.
Hey Stevie - look on the left of the screen and you will see links to post comments for each study. Click on the month that study was recorded and you will see each one mentioned under the moneth. Then just do exactly what you did here.
ReplyDeletemoneth is KJV for month!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteBible study Number 7 's video won't play for me :-( It works for about 13 min and then stops. Is this just happening to me?
